Don’t miss this chance to submit to PEN’s awards for translated literature. PEN is still accepting submissions for the $3,000 PEN Award for Poetry in Translation, the $3,000 PEN Translation Prize, and for PEN/Heim Translation Fund Grants. The deadline for submission is February 1, 2013.

PEN invites you to submit for:

The PEN Award for Poetry in Translation ($3,000) recognizes book-length translations of poetry from any language into English published during 2012.

The PEN Translation Prize ($3,000) is for a distinguished book-length prose translation published in 2012

The PEN/Heim Translation Fund Grants ($2,000–$4,000) support the translation of book-length works of fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, or drama that have not previously appeared in English in print or have appeared only in an outdated or otherwise flawed translation. There are no restrictions on the nationality or citizenship of the translator, but the works must be translated into English. The Fund seeks to encourage translators to undertake projects they might not otherwise have had the means to attempt.

We at WLT and PEN share your dedication to advancing translated literature, and invite you to help PEN acknowledge and support the talented individuals who are translating by submitting to these awards today.
