Allison Adelle Hedge Coke

Allison Adelle Hedge Coke’s books include Streaming, Burn, and Effigies III. Her recent awards include the Library of Congress Witter Bynner Fellowship, the First Jade Nurtured SiHui Female International Poetry Award, a Fulbright Fellowship, and the Dan & Maggie Inouye Distinguished Chair in Democratic Ideals at the University of Hawai'i. A distinguished professor of creative writing at UC Riverside, she has worked in fields, fishing, and factories. She guest-edited the “After Alcatraz” issue of WLT devoted to literary activism (Autumn 2019).
