Will H. Corral, who received his PhD from Columbia, has taught at Stanford and other universities in the Americas and Europe and contributed to World Literature Today since 1985, reviewing numerous works by Aira. The author of sixteen books of literary criticism, among them Theory's Empire (with Daphne Patai), his Los peajes de la crítica latinoamericana will be published this year. In 2014 he held the Cátedra Abierta Roberto Bolaño in Chile's Universidad Diego Portales. He is a regular contributor to Letras Libres.
