Bunmi Ishola is a former journalist who moonlighted as a middle-school teacher for seven years before becoming a children’s book editor. Outside of work, she enjoys live theater, traveling, and serves on the board of The Word | A Storytelling Sanctuary, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing diversity in publishing.
