WLT’s 75 Notable Translations 2012

December 18, 2012

The list-making season is upon us, and some of our favorite news sources have turned to surveying the literary year. On November 27, the New York Times released its 100 Notable Books of 2012. Elsewhere, the Huffington Post book editors selected twenty-four titles, Kirkus Reviews selected 100 books for its Best Fiction 2012 and 100 books for its Best Nonfiction 2012, and Slate offered its top ten plus a list of twenty overlooked books.

In the spirit of the season, WLT offers its first ever 75 Notable Translations list. We’ve chosen an admittedly arbitrary number, but we hope you’ll find some new must-reads and be quick to speak up for those titles not on the list.
